    What’s Your Goddess Type?

The Ayurveda Experience July 23, 2016

I love Ayurveda because it is a system of health that allows us to love ourselves no matter what we weigh, no matter what the size and shape of our body is!

Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

    The Ayurvedic Woman Online Course

As a curvy woman I have often felt that I do not fit into society’s vision of beauty. I have also known women who were athletic, with muscle and felt their bodies were too masculine. I have known slender women who wished they had bigger breasts and a booty.

When I found Ayurveda I was thrilled to discover that there was a system of health that recognized that there are three body types, the air type, the water type and the fire type and that each of these types could be healthy, happy and beautiful. If you don’t feel you fit into society’s concept of beauty you will love this article! There is also a Goddess associated with each of these types, so own your feminine grace and power and love yourself for the Goddess that you are!

Goddess Type Lakshmi, Kapha Body Type

If you are a curvy lady you may hate your breasts and hips and thighs. Darling, Ayurveda knows that you were created in the image of the Goddess Lakshmi, the sustainer of life, the mother who gives comfort with her warm eyes, big heart and soft curvy body. You are a Kapha or water type.

I challenge you to look at that gorgeous figure and adorn it.  Love yourself up for being a source of comfort and beauty to everyone who will have the blessing of your hug today!

Goddess Type Durga, Pitta Body Type

You are a woman who has a naturally muscular body. You are strong and have great stamina and can eat almost anything without gaining weight because you have a quick metabolism. You love a challenge whether it be a verbal debate, a new sport or a business meeting. You are like the Goddess Durga who is a fierce protector, a source of inspiration and an icon of powerful beauty. You are a Pitta or fire type.

I challenge you to look in the mirror every morning and honor your own strength, power and beauty!  Imagine all of the warmth and inspiration you offer people just by the way your charisma fills a room!

Goddess Type Saraswati, Vata Body Type

Perhaps you are a woman with a petite build. The girl who always wished she had just a little bigger bust line. The girl who always felt a bit too skinny. Your mind is quick and you love to try new things and go new places. You love to learn and are pretty creative. You are like the Goddess Saraswati, the creative Hindu goddess of music, the arts, knowledge and education. You are a Vata or air type.

I challenge you to look in the mirror each day and imagine all of the beauty you bring to the world with your graceful movements and whimsical nature!

Ladies, the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda is in no way archaic. In fact, it carries the message that we all need to hear.

We are created  by the joyous dance of the five elements: earth, water, fire, air and ether.

We are each a unique combination of these elements and so, we each have our own unique and beautiful form. Our bodies, minds and hearts are created by this beautiful dance of nature and we are perfect, no matter how we look. We are each an expression of divinity.

Love yourself. You are more than enough. You are perfect!
