    Fig Balls

    Ingredients:

    1 oz Sunflower seeds
    1 oz Coconut
    1 oz Walnuts
    4 oz Dried Figs (rinsed)

    Recipe:

    1. Blend the nuts and seeds in a food processor for about two minutes until they become basically a nut butter, we want it to be very smooth.
    2. We’re now ready to put the figs in. What I like to do is to put the figs in with the food processor running and drop in one at a time, because I feel like this gives me the best texture.
    3. You might have noticed that, as the figs were put in, it began to bunch up along the sides. That’s your sign that they’re getting really well mixed and it’s ready to form into balls. We can see that the nuts, seeds and figs have blended evenly together.  You can form it into balls in your hand or you can press it into a small bowl and refrigerate it for a time and then cut it into squares.
    4. If you decide to make balls with this, which can be really fun, just take about a tablespoon scoop of the mix – which is really soft and pliable – and mold it into the shape of a ball with your fingers.
    5. You could take the fig balls and coat them with some flaked coconut to have a little bit of a different texture and taste.

You will enjoy having the figs balls any time you need a quick boost of energy. Dried figs are an excellent source of minerals, vitamins and antioxidants.
